ROAD TRIP!

We made another California Road Trip and visited Alta Loma and San Marcos for two weeks! On the way down we made it in 18 hours in one shot and got there at 6am the next day. We were SO exhausted! The kids did really well on the way down, but coming back home was a whole other story! Ugh! When we got to San Fernando (around 4am) we arrived right when the fire started so we lucked out and beat the freeway closure. The fire was a beautiful sight for our tired eyes, even though I am sure local homeowners would have disagreed! Audrey is quite the screamer and she was not afraid to let it out in the confines of our truck. We survived though and we have lots of pictures and video to share.

Below are some pictures of our travel on the way down to California.

Audrey is very serious about her rice cereal now and she would not let us skip even on meal of it. So, this is how it ended up...all over her, Trevor and the steering wheel. Trevor's hands kept getting stuck when he was driving after this.
Raleigh was a super traveler except for one meltdown when Audrey was screaming (I don't blame him), and another one starting at around 2am because he did not want to go to sleep and he stayed up that late with us. He eventually fell asleep from the meltdown.
This picture was just too cute to pass up.

Raleigh has a whole set up in the back seat. He had his pillow (which he wanted behind him even though it made him totally uncomfortable), his bunny blanket, his ice cream, his headphones (which were supposed to block out Audrey's crying), and constant DVDs playing. He knows how to travel comfortably.
