Christmas '07

Well, we had a WONDERFUL Christmas! Raleigh got TONS of toys, and we got tons of fun and useful gifts!!! Our tree was overflowing! Raleigh woke up Christmas morning (after almost not falling asleep Christmas night) and climbed in our bed as usual. He was cuddling me, so I asked him if he wanted to go see if Santa had come. After a drowsy yes, I asked him if he wanted to open presents, and he jumped up and yelled "YEP!" So, we woke up Trevor and headed down the stairs. Santa had left candy canes all down the stairs though, so Raleigh excitedly picked each one up and yelled "Santa, Candy Cane!" When we got downstairs, Raleigh ran straight to the tree and started ripping open presents. I had to run to get the video camera going! As Trevor and I organized ourselves, Raleigh plowed through the presents asking us to take them out of the boxes after he opened each one. We were a little overwhelmed, so we finally told him that we would do it after he unwrapped everything. Phew!

After a couple of hours of opening boxes and putting toys together, Trevor made a yummy breakfast (which we had to bribe Raleigh with a candy cane to get him to come to the table). After breakfast Raleigh played and played, and the snow started to fall. So, we went out and played in the snow, had lunch, and took a nap. Raleigh was SO excited for all of his toys that he kept carrying them to wherever Trigger and Cleo were to show them how each one worked! So, thank you everyone and know that we love ALL of you and are so lucky to have you in our lives! We hope your Chirstmas was as Merry as ours was!!!!

Another note...

A cute Raleigh story...

Raleigh had come in one morning and climbed in bed with us. He started rubbing my tummy and said "Baby Girl Baby Girl." (He had been saying Baby Boy before). Then after a while, he pulled up his shirt and said "Raleigh's Tummy, Hot Dog!" We were laughing SO hard! So, we asked him, "What's in Daddy's Tummy," and after some deep thought, Raleigh said, "Sandwich!"
