Short Update

In the past week and a half, Heidi cut her first tooth (her top left), her second tooth (her bottom left), and has one more on its way (top right). She has been in pain but not as bad as I remember with the other kids. Maybe its because she already doesn't sleep at night so I haven't noticed.

The little princess (yep, she already acts like one) can now say kitty (kihhhhh) and dog (dahhhh) and LOVES to sing and dance. She plays alongside the big kids now and almost keeps up with them.

Audrey is still madly in love with our cats and dog and takes really good care of them. Heidi has started loving on all of the animals too, but she is not gentle...AT ALL! She gets bit by the cats all of the time. It drives me crazy!

Audrey is having MAJOR separation anxiety and obsesses over me. She has to be with me all of the time or else she freaks out. If I leave the room, within a minute she yells, "Mom, where are you?" And if I don't answer she will search frantically for me. If she thinks I have gone downstairs while she is upstairs, she stands at the gate and yells, "MAMA, WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME?" Like I have EVER left her. I only lost her once! And SHE left ME!

Heidi has become very helpful and loves to pick things up and put them away, hand me things, and just watch what I do to try to learn. She is very observant!

Raleigh is still reading like a champ and LOVES to read all of the time. He will grab a book and follow me around reading it to me. I love it! And he is doing awesome at Karate! He can do a front roll, back roll, side roll, punch (flat handed of course), kick and block. He even tried to break a piece of wood last class. So cute! He gets really nervous and freaks himself out, but I remember being that way too, so I am pretty good at talking him out of those moments. Bribing helps too.

Raleigh has two friends at school who have become his best buddies. I am sad because they will be going to a different elementary school, but I think they are good "practice" for him. He plays Star Wars with them all of the time. And on Friday, his teacher came up to us before they were out of their music class and told us that Raleigh had really come out of his shell that day. He took his hood off and was running around giggling and having a great time. All of the louder kids in the class were gone, so he may have felt more comfortable.

We have been preparing for Trevor's little sister's wedding and we are SO excited. The kids are in it, and Raleigh and Audrey practice pretty much every day. They can't wait! We can't either...although I still can't stop thinking of her as 13 years old.

Trevor's business has been SLOW! But we have a feeling that it will pick up soon. We are hanging by a thread! We have become pros at all of the free marketing on the internet. We even pulled together and created an "official" website! And it looks pretty dang good!

All of the kids are asleep right now and I feel like I am pushing my luck, so I am going to go and try to post pics tomorrow. Maybe I will get a little sleep tonight!
