Raleigh has been going through some major changes which have taken a lot of adjusting! In his preschool class, he goes through ups and downs. He LOVES his teacher though and she told me he hangs on to her back pocket while she walks around. I am relieved that he feels comfortable around her! He likes his music class a little better now. At first he freaked out! He hasn't seemed to connected with the kids, but I am convinced that it is no reflection on the future. He is obsessed with Audrey and has fun trading off between smothering her with love and pushing and hitting her when I am not looking. She gave him a good smack across the face today though. So I guess it goes both ways.
Audrey is quite the little character. It is really hard to give an accurate description of her without being able to actually show it. She tries to do everything Raleigh does and gets frustrated when she can't. She yells for things, but we always make her say "Please" and "Thank You" which she thinks is funny. She LOVES to laugh, but will deafen you with her screams. She doesn't let ANYONE walk all over her. She likes to sing and dance and has a hilarious dance move that I have to get on video. She also does this strange thing with crossing her fingers that I have to get a pic of. She loves giving hugs and kisses but sometimes she squeezes too hard. She can get anything out of Trevor, but she drives him crazy. She has started to say "Bro Bro" for Raleigh. Oh, and she randomly Meows. We will be driving and she will just bust out meowing. She even did it in the store. It is SO cute!!!
Okay, now look down to see new pics! :)

12 Weeks
So, I thought I was 12 weeks along but at my appointment on Friday, the baby measured 9 weeks on one measurement and almost 10 weeks on another. Raleigh always measured smaller, but I am learning not to count on my due date just yet! The measurements would put me at 10 or 11 weeks along. The only thing that frustrates me is that I am so nauseous that I can't wait for it to be over! I have an actual ultrasound with the big machine in 2 weeks and that should give me a better idea of how far along I really am, although I am never sure that they can measure very well.
Also, this visit was traumatic for Audrey as usual. Except, she started crying so hard when I was getting my blood pressure taken that she threw up. Eew!!! Eventually Trevor and I gave up and he just took the kids out of the room. When the doctor was looking for the baby's heartbeat, the sound immediately calmed Audrey down. Maybe she still remembers? We have deduced that she is already mad that she is not going to be the only baby!
This sonogram is actually a really good picture! The baby is about an inch long if this measurement is correct. If you look in the middle of the pic where the little white dots are, you can see the head to the left, tummy in the middle, and feet or tail curled up on the right. You have to click to make the pic bigger though. If you can't see it, don't worry. :) I could be totally wrong!

In the Jungle
Here are the men hiking through the forest...at the zoo. My mom and dad extended our zoo membership for Raleigh's Birthday and we went to go see the new lion exhibit they opened up. We loved it! We did this right after swimming class so we were all exhausted, but it was a good way to distract the kids.
On a side note, both kids have come down with a cold and have turned into brats! Audrey has been screaming nonstop and Raleigh has been acting out in ways I can't even begin to explain. I have been extremely nauseous but Trevor has been amazing and has been doing everything possible to help out.

Swimming Time!!!
Our swimming classes started last Tuesday and I was SO relieved that Trevor was there to help out! Audrey and I are doing the Mommy and Me Class, and Raleigh is doing the Pre-Pike Class all by himself!!! Things started out really well, and Audrey was freaking out trying to get to the pool. She was trying to squeeze through the railings. I was waiting until class started to take her in because I didn't want her to get too comfortable and not want to participate with me.
But, I gave in and we hung out in the pool until classes started. Audrey was VERY independent in the water and was trying to go as deep as she could. She did end up enjoying the class with me though, and she giggled the whole time!
Here is Raleigh on his own...after Trevor came over and calmed him down. The beginning of class was unusual and the teacher did not come over to get the kids or introduce herself, so Raleigh was all distraught. Our Mommy and Me Teacher walked him over to his teacher and he started freaking when our teacher tried to leave. He pushed away his teacher and was pulling to go back to me. Luckily, Trevor heard the call and went running over to calm him down. After a few minutes he had fun. Hopefully he will be a little more used to it next time. Notice how far away I am (we are the circle in the back of the pic). If Trevor doesn't go then I think I will have a headache on my hands!

First Day of Preschool!!!!
Wednesday the 9th was Raleigh's First Day of Preschool!!!! We were so excited we could barely stand it! Last year we tried taking him to "preschool," but it was really just daycare that he came in the middle of. This time we actually are doing a preschool and all of the kids are there only for school. Their first day of school was the same as the elementary school and their schedule is the same as the elementary school. Raleigh goes 2 mornings a week.
The preschool uses the first day as an orientation day for the kids and their parents (and siblings because they always go everywhere). I was so grateful they did this. We met his teacher who we love, Raleigh made an art project, she read us a story and then took us on a treasure hunt to learn all about the different places in the building and the classroom. Raleigh was REALLY nervous and kept clinging to me every chance he could get, but the teacher taught us a really cool art project that I think will help Raleigh through his tough times. We traced each other's hands and then kissed them. That way when we are sad, we can hold the hand to our cheek and feel the kiss.
They also gave him a red bucket to use as his backpack. We put his hand in there and we are also putting some pictures in there for him to share with everyone. And, we get to bring the first snacks on Wednesday. That got Raleigh really excited! I think he will be okay, but he has always been a Mommy's Boy.

Women With Power!
My Big Sis came up to help me out while Trevor was out of town and she did EVERYTHING!!!! PLEASE COME BACK!!!! Not only did she cook, clean, steam the carpets, play with Raleigh, do my WORK, but she also built Raleigh's bunkbeds! My parents gave Raleigh an early birthday present of bunkbeds since Audrey is moving into his room. He LOVES them and doesn't want to ever leave. He actually sleeps on the top, which I thought would take a little coaxing.
Anyway, after our little drill pooped out, I went digging in the garage to see what Trevor had left behind. We found this GIGANTIC drill that was a little too powerful, but it got the job done. I think Trevor said it was called a Hammer Drill?! Cris and I can handle anything!

Another Crazy Dish Day!
We had another Crazy Dish Day (we try to do them every Monday), but it was our first without Trevor. Although we missed Trevor's antics (he usually tries to make his dishes as normal as Raleigh will allow), we still had fun!
Audrey has no need for Crazy Dishes!
Raleigh did really good at picking his out. He was so proud!

Okay, just kidding. I really haven't lost my mind THAT much, but we did have this awesome bird come visit us one afternoon. Trevor saw it in the greenspace and thought it was a wild turkey. Thank God he doesn't have a hunting rifle, or else this would have been our dinner.
The bird played in the greenspace, saw us, and then jumped up on our fence. Then, to our surprise, it jumped into our backyard and wandered around while Raleigh chased it with his camera. It would have stayed, but Trevor had to let Gwyn have a chance at it. Gwyn got close, but that colorful thing finally showed it could fly and headed to safety.
We later found out it was a something something Pheasant. I have a really bad memory!
