Surprise Snow!!!

Yesterday we were all surprised with 3 inches of snow in the afternoon! Trevor was about 40 minutes away, but the storm was so bad that it took him 4 hours of SCARY driving to get home! The kids and I played in it and then when Raleigh realized it was the reason that Trevor wasn't home, he said, "I hope the snow all goes away and never comes back!" He is Trevor's little buddy now!

Raleigh had a blast running and falling in the snow though. He threw more snowballs then I could count and just loved being out in it. Audrey was a little timid, mostly because she could barely move in her snow clothes and she couldn't walk in the snow, but eventually she warmed up to it and started making her own snowballs. It is all melted away today, but it sure caught us all off guard!

More Heidi Pics

We had another ultrasound to get the rest of Heidi's measurements that she wouldn't let us get the first time. It is always fun taking a peek at the little squirmer. She is breech right now, just like her sister! In the picture below, it is her profile with her head on the left. Her hand was still by her head...just like Audrey. I guess the girl's already have a lot in common! And she weighs 1 pound! Here are her feet. She had her legs held together so tight that we couldn't reconfirm that she was a girl...but we got a quick peek and didn't see boy parts. So we are still going with girl!

Cuddle Bugs

They love each other...most of the time!

Daddy's Little Girl!

This is Daddy's Little Girl! She melts his heart!

Our Little Reindeer

Raleigh got to be a reindeer in Preschool and he wears his antlers all the time now! He is so cute!!! he can even sing Jingle Bells like nobody's business!

Passing on the Coolness!

Trevor has a collection of comic books and he gave Raleigh this one. Raleigh was so excited that every morning he would make Audrey come in and he would "read" it to her!

Waiting For Santa

Here is Raleigh, Audrey, Hunter, Kyle, Kane and Hayden (not pictured) all waiting to meet Santa after he came by helicopter. Since the babies were tired, only Hunter and Hayden actually made it to see Santa! But they all had fun and it was nice to spend the extra time with the Storytime Buddies!

Cutie Pies

I was going to use one of these pictures (less the vacuum) for our Christmas Card, but budget cuts at the Halgren House have prevented that! So, I am posting the on here because they are really cute!

Decorating the Tree

I had super helpers decorating this year! Audrey helped me put out all of the knickknacks and Raleigh did almost every ornament by himself! This is Audrey's ornament that she picked out. It is a very glittery pig with wings. That and Raleigh's flamingo from last year have given our tree a wild side!

Raleigh picked out a Darth Vader ornament this year!

Here are the kids filling the Christmas Doors with Hershey Kisses. Yummy!

And Raleigh got the honors of doing the star! He was so excited!!! And he was SO proud of how well he decorated the tree. He kept telling me, "Mom that is a beautiful tree!" Also, Trevor was tired this year so we had to get a pre-cut tree and I gave up control and let the boys pick out the tree. They did a good job! But next year we are going back to cutting down our own! They are half the price and stay fresh MUCH longer!

Back on Track

I just realized how long it has been since I updated the blog, but I am committing myself to getting back on track. I have a bunch of pics from our Thanksgiving trip to Utah and California, but my hard drive crashed! Luckily I e-mailed previews to our parents so I will get them back out of cyberspace and back here on the blog!

This past week has hit us like a bulldozer! We have been sick (REALLY SICK...Audrey and I are still getting over it), had to make 3 different desserts for Raleigh's preschool (because I am a dork and forgot the NO PEANUT rule in school), I had my busy week of the month for work, and we have had doctor's appointments like crazy! We got another ultrasound of Heidi though and all of her missing measurements were found and she is one healthy little bean.

We saw Santa come by helicopter but we didn't wait in line for the picture. Instead, we went to the mall and took a pic with a creepy Santa and paid way too much! They make you buy a package of pics instead of just one pic now. So, the grandparents have nice pictures of us and creepy Santa! Raleigh was a brave little man and went right up to Santa to tell him he wanted Toy Story 2 and bones for Gwyn. Audrey was thrilled until we got up there and then she clung to my neck so hard it left marks.

Audrey had her 18 month check up and did really well. She had 4 shots and an ear infection, but she cried WAY less than before. She started hyperventilating when we got into the room, but I got her calmed down. She HATES any doctor's office and screams as soon as she sees them. I guess its a good thing I am not a doctor now!

Raleigh changed preschool classes because his class got too small (there were only 3 of them left). Luckily his best friend went into the same class and made the transition easier! He has been having a blast. It took him a while to get used to the girls though. His last class was all boys! On the first day, him and his friend were locking the girls out of the playhouse and blowing rasberries to keep them away (Raleigh and Luke called it spitting at them). His preschool friend who had to go in another class also told his mom that he doesn't like the girls. I guess they were happy with their men's club! His teacher is now Miss Teri and she is really nice, but she has a class of 10 kids and it is overwhelming!

Raleigh has been cooking with me and helped me bake all 3 desserts. He follows me everywhere. He always thinks I am up to something fun. Audrey is clingy to me now too, but I think that has more to do with being sick than anything else.

Every night, Trevor plays a game with the kids where they stand on our bed and he pushes them over. They crack up and will play forever! They have been looking forward to this every night! I will get it on video one of these nights.

And, tonight we took the kids to the Portland International Raceway to see the Christmas lights. They set up the whole racetrack with light scenes and you drive around and look at them. The kids LOVED it! Raleigh pointed out everything! And Audrey jumped and danced! When it was over both kids were really sad and quiet. Raleigh even asked if we could go through again!

Okay, that's enough updating! Here is a pic to hold you over! Here is what happens when you try to lay down in our house....

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

At 19 weeks...Her head is looking up. Profile Pic. Her head is on the left, her big belly is to the right of that. She had her hands up by her head...you can see one in the background. A funny thing...she had a super full bladder. Just like her mommy!

A cute little foot (on the right). She was super squishy. The sonographer tried to squish her to get her to move for a better picture, but she wouldn't move. She just kept squishing more and more into a ball. She's already cuddly!

We had our ultrasound today and were excited to find out we are having a girl!!!! Audrey was thrilled to see the baby on TV, but Raleigh was unusually quiet. Later, he told me, "Two sisters. This is going to be horrible!" I guess he wanted a brother. Audrey is a handful, but I think having some competition will calm her down a little. So, Raleigh will be thankful for that. He has now come around to the idea of having a little sister, especially since Trevor explained how he has 2 sisters. Plus, Raleigh's closet will be safe;it's Audrey who has to watch her clothes. Trust me, some of the biggest fights between me and my sister started with her finding her clothes in my room. Oops, sorry Sis! But I'm pretty sure I still haven't grown out of that. Just be thankful your closet will be far away Cris!

Audrey is turning into a little goof off. She is ALWAYS up to something. All she wants to do is have fun. I will walk in the room and she will be making herself fall over, and cracking herself up. She learned to say Shoe today. It is really cute. And she sings ALL THE TIME. She knows some of the words to tons of songs and is always busting them out!

Raleigh has been working his way out of his shell. Preschool has been amazing for that! He walks around telling everyone he is 4 years old. He still has shy moments and will stop talking to people before they're done, but he talks nonstop to us. He is chatting right now, counting to eleven-teen. He has started going right to sleep again and taking really good naps. Phew!

Okay, that's enough for now. We have a Thanksgiving Feast at Preschool to get ready for tomorrow, and tons of packing!

Bike!

Trevor's dad and stepmom bought Raleigh a Transformer's Bike for his Birthday! It was waiting on out doorstep when we got home from his party! Trevor put it together that afternoon and Raleigh was cruising around like a pro. I am going to try to get the video up now, but it is loading really slow. At the end of the video there is a near miss with Audrey, but it makes it worth watching the whole thing!

Toy Shopping

I had thrown away the Target Toy ad, but Audrey found it! She pulled it out and was flipping through it, and before I knew it Raleigh was over there picking out toys with her. They actually got along playing with the same thing for once!

Bring Back the 'Stache

The boys over here decided it was time to bring back the mustache! No more babyfaces in this house! I think Trevor's grew in a little sideways!

P.S. These were in Raleigh's goody bags from his Birthday Party!

Raleigh's Birthday Party

Raleigh had his party at Safari Sam's, which is a Bullwinkle's-type place with a huge jungle gym and bouncy houses. Raleigh invited the boys in his preschool class and his storytime friends, and they all had a blast! We were exhausted after! Raleigh even knew to blow out his candle this year...all by himself!
Chowin' Down!

Raleigh got a ton of awesome presents from his friends! He was so excited!

Audrey was a little cranky pants until she ate her cupcake. Raleigh's friend's mom even broke out her Iphone and let cranky Audrey watch cartoons! After her cupcake though, she was running around the place!

Toilet Heads!

While Raleigh was at school, Audrey busted out the little potty seat and kept us thoroughly entertained. I took a pic because I remembered Raleigh doing this, but...

Later that day, Raleigh found the potty seat and re-enacted it. These kids think so much alike. He had no idea Audrey played with it until I showed him the picture! So cute!

Halloween Day!

We had a busy Halloween! Raleigh was ready to Trick-or-Treat as soon as he woke up!

First, we hit the shopping centers and the kids filled up their buckets with tons of goodies from all of the stores. Look at how cute Trevor looks with little Audrey! Raleigh was a perfect Trick-or-Treater this time. He actually said Trick or Treat and Thank You without my help! Audrey was still a little confused, but this WAS her first time. She slept through it last year!

Here is Raleigh getting a coloring book. He thought he hit the jackpot!

The cutest Little Red Riding Hood and Superman were ready to go. This was as close to a smile as we could get out of Audrey!

But Raleigh was ready to show off his Man of Steel pearly whites!

Here we are setting up our pumpkins after we had already pooped ourselves out from trick or treating!

She needed her paci after all that excitement!

It is not easy to light pumpkins with 2 overtired kids next to you!

Look at how light it was when we went around our neighborhood! I brought Audrey's blanket, but it wasn't her favorite one, so she threw it back at me!

Here are the kids running away with their loot. The mommy monster has a sweet tooth!
