Jimmy's Homecoming

Mommy's cousin Jimmy came back from Iraq on Saturday, and here are some pictures of the Homecoming that his friends and family threw him. Mommy was really sad because she could not be there to give him a big ol hug! A strange thing happened at our house, though. Mommy and Daddy had a yellow ribbon tied around their front tree for Jimmy that they put up right after Jimmy deployed to Iraq. A couple of days ago the ribbon mysteriously untied itself and fell off the tree. There was no wind or anything that would have caused the ribbon that has lasted 7 months to fall off!!! Mommy took it as a sign that Jimmy was safe and was definitely coming home! We are SO relieved that Jimmy is back on our good ol American soil, and we are SOOOO proud of him for all of his hard work over in Iraq. He is definitely a hero to us!

The pictures that I am posting were sent by Jimmy's mom, Debbie. The pictures show Jimmy's "Homecoming Committee" who stood on the corner by Jimmy's house to greet the vans and buses carrying the soldiers, a picture of the Harley Davidson parade that led the vans and buses full of soldiers into town, a picture of Jimmy and his dad Jim, and a picture of Jimmy with my Grumpa, Grandma and Auntie Cris.

Who says learning to walk is hard...

It's easy as long as you have your daddy!!! This video is kind of long (and some people may even admit that it gets boring at times), but I had to show off my newest walking skills. I also show off my new clapping skills in this video, but mom and dad had to be sneaky to get me to show them! Oh, and I can also climb up ALL of the stairs in our house, but my legs are too short to go back down. My favorite game now is chasing Cleo up the stairs!

The Finished Product!!!

Welcome to my new house!! I finally saved up enough to move out of my parent's house! My girlfriend Jenna is going to be impressed!

Look, its just my size. I am a little nervous about the height, though. I heard goldfish only grow to the size of their fishbowl, so I hope that doesn't happen to me!











This is my "welcome" pose. As people come crusin' by my house I lean against my fence post and give them a friendly wave. So far the only neighbors to pass by have been my parents and the cats, but I am hoping soon some new faces will come by!

Another Bear Hat!

Here I am in ANOTHER bear hat, but this one was picked out by daddy!!! I wouldn't let them take a picture of me from the front with it on, so mommy snuck these in while I was in my carseat on the way to Farmer's Market. She knows I am always easier to deal with when I know there is food at the end of the car ride!

Great Grandbabies!!!

Here is a picture of my Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Sudduth's great grandbabies (Seamus, Leyla, Emma, and Me!!!). I was going through my party pooper stage, so I was crying in the picture, but next time I will try to be on better behavior!

I have just learned how to speak Zwahili. I don't actually start speaking until the end of the video, right before it cut off of course, but the beginning of the video is fun to watch too!!!

Grampam and Auntie Chaumy's Visit

Here are some pictures of the visit from Grampam and Auntie Chaumy. We did a lot of stuff when they were out here...we hiked, ate, slept, shopped, and had a GREAT time!!! We also celebrated Grampam's and Dad's Birthdays, although I was still the center of attention. Some of the pictures were really hard to pass up and not put on the blog with explanations (like the poop ones), but mommy had to draw the line somewhere. It IS after my bedtime after all!!!









Happy (early) Birthday Grampam! I don't think she liked my gift (it was sticky brains, poop, a bug, and a tongue). Her gift ended up on our ceiling (thanks to dad)!










Happy Birthday to MEEEE (I mean Dad!)! Not too much longer and it really WILL be my birthday!

Walking...well, sort of!

Here I am showing off my walking skills. So I look like the drunk man that tripped over the sign downtown (that's right Auntie Cris, you know who I'm talking about). Since this video, my feet are flatter on the ground and I am able to stand straight up without spreading my legs a mile apart! I am more interested in climbing over things than walking, though, and I only do it when mom and dad push the cart in front of me to make them stop hounding me!

Daycare!!!

Here are some pictures that mom snuck of me in daycare. You will notice that these were from the beginning of August (and they are a little blurry because they are through the window). I am now too active to sit in the exersaucer, so I follow the teachers around and help feed the babies. The babies sort of struggle to get their bottles from me since I am not completely stable. I am also the happiest kid in the class. The teachers told my mommy that yesterday the whole class had a breakdown except me. I was playing by myself cracking myself up. I also waved goodbye to my mom for the first time this morning as she dropped me off. There are pictures of me all over the walls, and I even have an art project that I did up over my crib. Most of my buddies are moving up to the bigger room, so now I am the big man on campus! Someday mommy will get some pictures of my teachers up, because I LOVE them!!!

Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2!!!!!

Here is one of daddy's new addictions. We got the dance mat a while ago, and now daddy has a guitar game (from Grampam), and the new addition of his football game Madden '07. Daddy showed off his moves, but then I had to push him off and show him how it was REALLY done. They don't call me Rollin Raleigh for nothing! Oh, and be sure to check out dad's dance video, but don't tell him we released it yet. He hasn't picked a release date for it, but we just couldn't wait!

10 MONTHS

Wow, ten months has FLOWN by!!!! I have four teeth (two bottom, and two top that just cut through), and I have four more on the way. I have tested out walking, although I am not as interested in it as mom and dad previously thought! I am eating all sorts of crazy foods, and I giggle at EVERYTHING now!!! I LOVE people, especially kids, and I am very social. I get mom and dad all sorts of free stuff at restaurants when I flirt with the waitresses. Mom started med school, took her first test and bombed it, and decided that our routine is going to have a MAJOR overhaul. I never had a problem, but for some reason she thinks she can't learn everything in one weekend. Mommy also started her preceptorship, which is where she follows a physician and does whatever the doctor will allow her to do. Mommy is following a wonderful pediatrician who is more than willing to let her have the "hands-on" experience. Mom used her stethoscope and otoscope for the first time on someone other than a relative! Dad is also doing wonderfully, and he is working his buns off making the moolah to keep the bills paid while mommy sits and says crazy latin words. Seems sort of unfair, but I think he'll exact his revenge some day! Anyway, that is us at this time in our life in short. One word can describe our lives right now...chaotic!!!

"Stephanie's Big Day" - Stephanie's REAL Labor Day. Mom and I went over to entertain Stephanie's other kids while Stephanie worked her buns off bringing her new baby girl into the world!

"White Coat Ceremony Weekend" - Pictures from Mom's White Coat Ceremony, and pictures from the weekend surrounding the ceremony. Grumpa Mark, Grandma Judy, and Auntie Cris flew up to hug mommy in her white coat, and mommy's buddy Johanna came to show off her already well used white coat!


Mommy will also be putting pictures from this past week where my Grampam and Auntie Chaumy came up to visit and entertain me. She just has to get off her hiney and load them onto the computer. Hopefully she will get it all done tomorrow so everyone can see my whole month in one sitting!!!
